Emergency Services
Not many people are prepared for what happens when their pet escapes the home or how to go about rescuing that pet safely. We put together a plan just for you, in case you’re ever in that situation.

At PetPals, we understand that life is unpredictable. Emergencies like sudden weather events, delayed flights, and unexpected travel restrictions can leave pet owners in challenging situations. Our Emergency Pet policy is designed to provide critical support for pets and their families when unforeseen circumstances arise, ensuring that no pet goes uncared for, no matter the conditions.

What Emergency Pet Services May Involve
Emergency pet services include:
Weather-Related Care: During severe weather events, like heavy snow or ice storms, our team is prepared to make safe arrangements to care for pets even when roads are impassable. In cases where road travel is unsafe, our dedicated local caregivers can walk to clients' homes to attend to their pets.
Coverage for Delayed Returns: We assist clients who are delayed due to canceled flights or hazardous travel conditions. Our team steps in to ensure pets are fed, exercised, and provided with medication as needed.
Support for Community Needs: With Portland's frequent winter storms, it’s common for people to get snowed in or unable to return home from nearby cities. PetPals has established a network to connect neighbors and caregivers, ensuring that pets are looked after during these emergencies.
PetPals’ Mission and Values in Action
PetPals’ mission is to ensure that every pet in our care remains safe, comfortable, and attended to, no matter the circumstances. This aligns with our core values of community support, reliability, and compassionate care. This emphasis on emergency preparedness goes beyond regular pet sitting—it’s a commitment to the well-being of pets and the peace of mind of our clients.
